Mike Hankard

Mike's Resume
Michael Hankard - President and Principal
My interest in acoustics began with "stereos", and being the drummer and soundman in local rock bands. At the University of Maine, I took acoustics courses as part of my electrical engineering curriculum. Upon graduation I had the pleasure to work for Stone and Webster Engineering, where I conducted noise impact studies for power plants, large construction projects, and the Hanscom Air Force Band Center. Moving to Colorado in 1993, I began freelance acoustical consulting where the focus is more on transportation, land development, and mining projects. I have conducted measurements, modeling, compliance assessments, and mitigation design for over 100 projects in these and other industries.
Jeff Cerjan

Jeff's Resume
Jeff Cerjan - Senior Engineer
At the start of my professional life in 1994, while working as a designer for an aircraft manufacturer, I found that noise and vibration were not completely understood in our industry. I decided then that I would focus my career on these issues. I also found that I would prefer to work for a smaller company where noise and vibration was the primary focus. So I signed on with HEI in 2000, and began expanding into other noise issues including transportation, development, and architectural. I have had the opportunity to work on a number of diverse projects which continue to grow everyday.
Michael Theriault - Affiliate
Mr. Theriault has over 16 years of experience in acoustics, and specializes in noise control and environmental noise impact assessment for combustion turbine power projects. He has worked on over 70 simple-cycle and combined-cycle power projects, ranging from 1 to 2000 megawatts. He has been retained by owners/developers to prepare environmental noise impact licensing applications; by architectural engineering firms to design and implement noise control programs; by construction firms to conduct plant noise level performance testing; and by financial underwriters and municipalities to perform noise control due diligence reviews.
John Orgar - Affiliate
John Orgar has more than four years experience in acoustics, with specialization in industrial noise control and environmental noise impact assessment. With direct work experience on over 40 industrial facilities, he has prepared environmental noise impact licensing applications, conducted noise level performance testing, and designed numerous noise control programs with an emphasis on three-dimensional acoustical modeling. Mr. Orgar is an associate member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Hartford (2001).
Dan Crow - Affiliate
Dan Crow has over 12 years of design, production and installation experience related to absorptive and environmental noise control of rotating equipment and machinery, especially gas turbines used for power plants. He patented a liner system for high temperature exhaust systems and designed and outfitted power plants and other industrial facilities with new noise control systems. Mr. Crow received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics at the University of Wisconsin at Madison following schooling at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.
